This hydrocolloid dressing consists of a semipermeable polyurethane film coated with hydrocolloid containing carboxy-methylcellulose. A cohesive gel is produced when in contact with wound exudate to provide a moist wound healing environment. This family of dressings includes extra thin, with border and with a polyurethane foam pad. Specially designed shapes are for wounds on the heel and sacrum.
